We are proud of our history. Tascosa Hot Sauce was originally known as the “Tascosa Tortilla Factory,” which primarily produced tortillas and chips. The Tascosa Tortilla Factory began business in Amarillo in 1957. For many years, hot sauce was a sideline business of the Tortilla Factory and was actually made in a small cooker in the corner of the tortilla factory.

Because the “Original” variety of Tascosa hot sauce was such a hit with hot sauce connoisseurs, the Company formulated two derivative hot sauce products, Extra Hot and Mild. We hope whichever variety that you choose spices up your life as much as it does ours. 

Our goal is to provide to you, the customer, our superior hot sauce at a competitive cost. We continue our tradition of providing you a product that is as close to homemade as you can get (other than making it in your own kitchen). The quality of our product is superior to other sauces and we try to remember that the cost is always an important concern. We know price is important when we shop. Tascosa Hot Sauce is an excellent blend of tomatoes, peppers and spices that gives it a somewhat unique texture and color and definitely a unique flavor. When compared to other hot sauces, our products have a distinctive freshness. Many of our friends buy our hot sauces as an ingredient in their various Mexican dishes. Jump over to our recipes and give them a try. Are we bragging? Maybe a little, but we really believe in our product and facts are facts.

Tascosa Hot Sauce currently produces 3 varieties of hot sauce, which are Original, Extra Hot and Mild. We think you will agree that both the taste and the texture of our hot sauces distinguish us from our competitors. Each of the varieties is available in a 16-ounce size and the Original is also available in a 32-ounce size. We expect that demand for the 32-ounce size will continue to grow and expect that the Extra Hot and Mild will be available in the 32-ounce size in the future.

If you live in or around Amarillo or have spent any significant amount of time here, you know that most people in Amarillo recognize the name “Tascosa Hot Sauce”. We love the fact that many of our customers (a/k/a friends) typically buy our hot sauce to take their friends and relatives that live in other parts of the United States. We ship hot sauce to individuals in almost every state in the continental United States. We hope this website makes it easier on all of us for our friends to continue to enjoy our hot sauce no matter where they live or travel.

Because folks have requested it, we are creating seasonal gift baskets and making our hot sauce available for corporate promotion (businesses can send our hot sauces to their customers or clients and give them a “taste of Amarillo”.
